<P><FONT face=Arial size=2>I just received word that Ernest Mann, IAALD
President from 1980 to 1990 died quietly at his home in the United Kingdom in
late July. Ernest had just celebrated his 80 birthday. He had a
long and distinguished career at CABI and IFIS before his retirement.
Ernest had many friends and will be missed by all.</FONT></P>
