Course Methodology and Teaching Format
The course will be provided in lecture format. Lectures will be given in class room Shantz 440. Homework will be given each week to the students for them to review what they learned during that particular week. Also, short quizzes will be given randomly. Additional reading from scientific manuscripts or journals will be provided to the students to stimulate discussions and learning.

A make-up exam can be scheduled or a late homework can be accepted only when a student has a valid excuse and submits a written statement made by a responsible person. If at all possible, notify the instructor in advance.
Attendance Policy
Students are expected to attend all the lectures. All holidays or special events observed by organized religions will be honored for those students who show affiliation with that particular religion. Absences pre-approved by the UA Dean of Students (or Dean Designee) will be honored.
Homeworks
Homework will be assigned once a week and the due date for each homework set will be announced. Submit your homework on 8-1/2" x 11" papers with your name and student number. I strongly encourage you to consult with me as course instructor when you encounter difficulties with the homework. Students may study together, but homework should be completed independently. Direct plagiarism on homework assignments will not be tolerated. Homework and tests will only be re-graded when there is evidence of grading error.
