Anti-Bullying Norton School Group Investigates Bullying Within Tucson Schools

The Crossroads Collaborative at the Norton School brings the stories and numbers of incidents of bullying together, by working with youth service organizations and youth in the community to amplify the tremendous effect bullying has on individuals, and demanding action.

TCAI Encourages College Attendance with New IDA Project

IDA ProjectLast summer, the Take Charge America Institute and the University of Arizona received a $1 million grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Assets for Independence program. The purpose is to develop a multi-year Individual Development Account (IDA), matched-savings program that will encourage low-income families to save for college.

Retail Jump Start Gives Students Competitive Edge

JumpstartThe Retail Entrepreneurship Club (REC) in the Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing held its inaugural Retail Jumpstart event on February 15 - 16, 2013 at the Norton School. The 1½ day event had the purpose of providing students with the unique opportunity to develop and present a comprehensive business plan for a new retail concept in a very intensive, competitive environment.

Several faculty and student awards and recognitions; Prominent coverage of our work in local and national press; Exciting new teaching initiatives and partnerships - both on campus and online; Students' admissions to graduate, medical and law schools, as well as beginning their exciting new careers in taking on exciting positions in industry, family services, and academics; and New research grants that promise to help us understand families, consumers, and the marketplace.

And the date has been set: Join us for the annual Homecoming Back-to-School Lecture and Alumni Lunch on Friday November 8th, where we'll feature the Take Charge America Institute for Consumer Financial Education and Research. You'll hear the latest research on young adults' financial well-being, and observe first-hand some of our financial education programs that reach over a million youth each year. Homecoming is the perfect opportunity to connect with your classmates, meet current faculty and students, and learn about what's happening with your School - the Norton School.
