Community Clubs

The Yavapai County 4-H Youth Development Program offers many fun and educational activities for its members. When you join a community club, you can make new friends, learn about raising animals, be involved and make a difference in our community, be a leader, learn public speaking and record-keeping skills, create things for everyone to enjoy, and go on exciting trips!

A variety of projects are offered in large and small livestock: beef, dairy goats, dog care, horses, meat goats, poultry, pygmy goats, rabbits, sheep and swine. Non-livestock projects include: cake decorating, arts and crafts, entomology, foods & nutrition, outdoor adventure, photography, public speaking, and shooting sports to name a few. Club activities occur after school, evenings and weekends.

Regular membership in 4-H is open to youth who are 9 years of age by January 1 of the current school year. Some 4-H Clubs in Yavapai County offer the 4-H Cloverbud program for youth age 5-8 (by January1).

Teens can have fun and be challenged in 4-H too. It isn't just for younger youth! Some activities only for teens are JOLT, NRCWAY, STAR, and Ambassadors. In addition, teens can hold leadership positions.

The 4-H community clubs listed below are all open to new and returning members. Parents and adults are encouraged to become volunteer 4-H leaders. For more information, see the 4-H enrollment information, the bi-monthly Clover Communicator newsletter call 928-445-6590 Ext 229 or email the 4-H Youth Development Agent.
