Yavapai County Home: Natural Resources Page: FireWise/Defensible Space Education
Defensible Space Educator, Gene Twaronite, is conducting educational programs that teach home and property owners how to create and maintain wildfire defensible landscapes emphasizing fire resistive plant materials, vegetation management, and other techniques. Gene works in collaboration with the Prescott Area Wildland Urban Interface Commission (PAWUIC), local fire departments, land management agencies, and organizations across Yavapai County. Contact him if you would like to have a workshop or presentation in your community. Cooperative Extension services are free and open to all and educational programs are developed specifically for local conditions. Below are several publications available for downloading.

Wildfire Defensible Landscape Professional List
