We offer conferences, seminars, workshops and more for educators and youth garden leaders. Arizona 4-H Arizona 4-H is the largest youth-serving organization in the world. In Arizona, membership is open to all youth ages 5 to 19 who meet certain membership guidelines. Members between the ages of 5 to 8 are in a non-competitive program called CloverKids. Youth from the ages of 9 to 19 years can compete for various awards in the traditional 4-H programs. All 50 states and more than 80 countries world-wide have 4-H programs. People of all ages participate in 4-H programs, from pre-schoolers to grandparents. The list of 4-H projects is so varied that every 4-H member and adult volunteer is sure to be able to find something of interest. Return to top of page Arizona Cooperative Extension A partnership between the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the University of Arizona College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and local county governments, the Arizona Cooperative Extension is an outreach program that is “taking the university to the people.” The Extension serves as a network of knowledgeable faculty and staff who serve as a link between the University and the citizens of each county in Arizona, providing lifelong educational programs in a variety of subjects, including Urban Horticulture.
