Robert J. Moody
Nov. 14, 1914 - Dec. 27, 2000

Bob Moody was a County Extension Agent in Yuma County from July 1, 1944 to Jan. 21, 1948.

Robert (Bob) J. Moody (Nov. 14, 1914- Dec. 27, 2000); Born in Great Falls, Montana. Grew up in St. Ignatius, Montana. He enrolled in Forestry at the University of Montana. When his father was transferred Bob came to Arizona with the family. He finished his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Arizona and graduated in 1940. He was then hired by the Agricultural Economics Department, College of Agriculture as Assistant Agriculture Agent in Pima County. Among his many responsibilities during the war years he had a weekly radio program on Victory Gardens.

In 1944 he became County Extension Agent in Yuma for the University of Arizona. In 1949 he had the opportunity to realize his dream of farming and enjoyed that occupation in Yuma County for 15 years. Due to a financial downturn he then sold his farm. He worked for the Bureau of Reclamation for many years before starting his own appraisal company in 1978, which allowed him to continue his involvement in agriculture.
