Water Conservation

Water is a precious resource in desert areas, and should be conserved whenever possible. There are many simple ways to reduce water use in a desert setting while still having a beautiful yard. Xeriscaping, the use of materials and plants with low water requirements, is an excellent way to conserve water. However, if a lush lawn is your ideal, smart watering techniques help to keep it economically and environmentally sound. In addition, water harvesting can help make the most of occasional precipitation.
