What Surveys and Maps Are Included?We began by including all citations to soil surveys for the arid states that were discovered through searching the GPO Monthly Catalog of Publications on CDROM (1976-present), as well as searches of the paper Monthly Catalog of U.S. Publications from 1895 to 1976. Periodically, we search the electronic Catalog of U.S. Government Publications to update the lists. Unfortunately, many states are not submitting information about their web soil surveys to the Catalog.
