Pryor Laboratory - Focusing on Lettuce Diseases, Mycology, and Alternaria at The University of Arizona School of Plant Sciences, Tucson, Arizona USA

For Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Researchers

Thank you for your interest in our lab. Our program is as varied as our lab members and we embrace diversity at all levels.

We have some long term research programs, such as our studies on the genus Alternaria (we currently have 26 sequenced genomes to be explored!), as well as novel cutting edge studies such as the use of ligninolytic fungi in microbial fuel cells (the future of energy production!).

Fundamentally we believe that mycology impacts our lives and society at so many levels and that mycological research should be nimble and responsive to these changing impacts. As such, we continue to explore the boundaries of mycological research and look to create new areas of discovery.

Please don't hesitate to give me a call or e-mail if you would like to discuss our program in more depth. Qualified applicants interested in applying to our two graduate programs, Plant Sciences or Plant Pathology and Microbiology should contact our program coordinator, Georgina Lambert, for application materials. Or view our School of Plant Sciences website for general information about the programs and faculty.

Qualified Post-doctoral applicants should send me a CV directly along with a statement of interests, and we can begin our conversations from there. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
