As concerns regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continue, the CALS community is prepared to serve our students in online and in-person capacities following appropriate guidelines. In-person services and support have resumed. We are here to support you and will do our best to answer questions or address concerns. Please continue to check your advisor’s calendar for their appointment or drop-in availability, if needed, and make sure to check your University of Arizona e-mail. Academic advisors will offer virtual, phone and in-person appointments, plus virtual and in-person drop-in advising. Questions may be directed to advising@cals.arizona.edu or you may call us at 520-621-3616.
Getting Started with Zoom Video Conferencing
- Follow Think Tank instructions on signing in to Zoom.
- Watch a tutorial on the basics of joining a Zoom meeting.
- Watch a webinar on Zoom meetings for education (students and educators).
Academic advisors help you access services, provide academic advice, and support your goals. You’ll likely have at least two academic advisors: one for your major and a general college advisor. Your major advisor guides you through your declared program of study, including course selection. A general Career & Academic Services college advisor provides broad support including helping undecided students select a major, processing forms, interpreting policies, assisting with course schedules, and offering career preparation services.
We recommend that you meet with your major advisor at least once a semester to make sure you’re taking the correct courses to meet graduation requirements. Schedule appointments with your major advisor by phone or online through CatCloud.
