LESSON: EFFECTIVE USE OF SUPERVISED STUDY COMPETENCY: To use supervised study techniques. OBJECTIVES: 1. To identify the need for and techniques in using supervised study. QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION: 1. What is meant by (directed) supervised study? b. Determine answers to questions and problems. c. Evaluating materials. d. Developing SOE plans; evaluating results. e. Reaching desired decisions. f. Involving students in the thinking process. 3. What are the educational benefits of supervised study? b. Allows for practice individually, and gives time for teacher interaction c. Enriches learning by incorporating out-of-class ex d.
