A Message from The University of Arizona President Peter Likins

UA President Robert Shelton

Our excellence at The University of Arizona stems from our land-grant heritage and our obligation to serve the public. The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is a gem that sets the tone for the institution as we strive to meet that obligation by grappling with society's most urgent and complex challenges. Whether the issue is how to conserve scarce resources like water, how to prevent diseases through nutrition, or how to ensure a positive role for fathers in family life, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is exploring the problem and seeking solutions.

Within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the Norton School is an exemplary unit, one that represents the best of what a university has to offer the community. The school's educational, research, and outreach programs strengthen three of our most critical cultural institutions: families, communities, and the marketplace. Additionally, Campaign Cornerstones, the Norton School 's capital campaign for a new building, represents the type of public-private partnership that will allow our institution to increase its capacity to meet the needs of our students, researchers and scholars, and the public.

I am proud to support the Norton School 's exemplary efforts and its campaign to create an enhanced educational environment. Please join me in playing a substantial role in Campaign Cornerstones.

Robert N. Shelton

President
