Areawide Insect Trapping Network (December 13, 2017)
Results of pheromone and sticky trap catches can be viewed here.

Corn earworm: Moth activity remains seasonably low, similar to last season.

Beet armyworm: Moth activity appears to be a bit higher than catches this time last season, but overall declining with cooler nighttime temperatures.

Cabbage looper: Cabbage looper activity greater than this time last year, and increased last week in some trap locations.

Whitefly: Adults captures on sticky traps remain seasonably low, but higher than this time last year.

Thrips: Thrips activity remain seasonably low at most trap locations.

Aphids: After peak activity in mid-November, aphid activity was low in the past two weeks consistent with seasonal activity.

Leafminers: Adult activity decreasing in all traps, but overall higher than observed this time last season.
