Areawide Insect Trapping Network (February 7, 2018)
Results of pheromone and sticky trap catches can be viewed here.

Corn earworm: Moth activity remains seasonably low, similar to this time last season.

Beet armyworm: Similarly, moth activity remains low, normal this time of year.

Cabbage looper: Cabbage looper moth activity above normal over the past 2 weeks, and numbers, and more active than this time last year.

Whitefly: Adults captures on sticky traps remain seasonably low, similar to last season.

Thrips: Thrips activity increased slightly in some locations, particularly in the Yuma Valley.

Aphids: Trap activity for aphids is down in most traps locations, comparable to last season.

Leafminers: Adult activity remain at seasonal low levels at most trap locations; activity increased in Dome Valley.

Diamondback moth: Activity is generally down relative to earlier in the fall, as well as compared to last spring. Activity in most trap locations, except South Yuma Valley, is lower than what we measured in the Gila Valley in 1998.
