Dr. Kirk A. Astroth Help start 4-H programs in Nicaragua

Dr. Kirk A. Astroth has been recruited by Partners of the Americas to help start 4-H programs in Nicaragua, November 1st-22nd. Funded by USAID, Partners has been working in Nicaragua to boost food security and nutrition in what is the Western hemisphere’s 2nd poorest country.  His host in the country will be the Fabretto Foundation (see more at: https://www.fabretto.org/en/nicaragua/   Astroth will be training groups of both youth and adults to implement the 4-H model, teach leadership skills, hands-on learning, and start 4-H projects.  This volunteer assignment dovetails with his planned sabbatical leave to become fluent in Spanish which also begins November 1st.
