ARIZ partners with the Arizona Native Plant Society to present workshops of interest to members of the public, agency personnel, avid amateurs, and beginners. In 2014, we offered two two-day workshops on grasses, and one on the aster family. Our workshops emphasize fundamental morphology and morphological terms, microscope use, practice with keying, and use of the herbarium collections.

In late spring through fall of 2015, we will be running one or both of these workshops again, and adding a workshop on keying plants to family, focusing on locally relevant material. Contact us if you'd like to be notified about our upcoming workshops, which fill up fast!
