Some internships may be closed. Please refer to the organization’s web page for up-to-date postings and opportunities.

Application deadline is May 11, 2018.

The University of Arizona Cooperative Extension Sustainability Team is seeking resident undergraduate students for an externship program for the Summer 2018. This Externship program is intended to provide undergraduate students with a work experience addressing community-scale sustainability projects in several rural communities throughout Arizona. Qualified externs will be paid minimum wage ($10.50) for up to 10 weeks and 35 hours per week of work. These Externships will provide students with unique opportunities to develop and use their ‘in-demand’ knowledge and skills about local sustainability, as well as engaging with local stakeholders to meet the needs of a community. Externs will work directly with and be supervised by UA Cooperative Extension personnel in their respective project communities. Preferably, students will be matched with an Externship project in the county or community of their residence. The program is not limited to any particular degree areas, although US citizenship is required. Applications are especially encouraged from members of under-represented minority groups and from women. Students must have at least sophomore standing at the University of Arizona in order to apply. APPLICATION DEADLINE: MAY 11, 2018
