Our current giving priorities include:
By partnering with the Career Center, CALS is able to not only provide its students with a degree, but a job going into the future. Students are provided with résumé resources, interview rooms, career options, and professional on-site staff to assist them.
CALS faculty prepare students with real-world ready knowledge and experience. CALS researchers answers important questions with implications that may reach across the globe.
We believe that every student deserves to a level playing field, especially those with specialized learning needs. Please join us in supporting our efforts to collaborate with campus partners, such as the Strategic Alternative Learning and Techniques (SALT) Center to ensure that CALS students of all learning styles have the opportunity to thrive. With your help, we can get students the comprehensive academic support services needed to encourage engagement, self-awareness, and growth.
Friends of CALS
Within a single college, our research and instruction covers a huge range of subjects and disciplines-- from sustainable agriculture to climate change, combatting infectious disease, finding innovations in retail, saving endangered wildlife, and beyond. As we grow and strive to tackle the world’s greatest challenges, your support will be allocated where it is needed most.
Focus Forward for Students
The COVID-19 Crisis has changed so much about what we do and thrown many aspects of students’ futures into question. In Spring 2020, life changed dramatically, and even today, the future is still unclear. However, we know there will be certainly be more challenges to come.
In response, we are focusing on ways to enhance our instruction and make it adaptable to any circumstance. Through this initiative, donors like you have already funded CALS graduate teaching assistants’ participation in an Online Course Development Boot Camp, where they learned to design and implement online coursework in a post-COVID-19 world. As the COVID-19 Crisis continues to evolve, your support will help CALS students overcome uniquely difficult challenges they’re facing from the pandemic by providing them with this opportunity and others like it. With your help, we will continue to be leaders in our field, no matter what lies ahead.
