Fall Festival and Plant Sale

Take Advantage of the Cooler Weather to Learn How to Plant and Choose What to Plant in One Location

The University of Arizona Cooperative Extension Maricopa County Master Gardeners, in cooperative with Metro Tech High School, are pleased to announce their Fall Festival and Plant Sale on Saturday, October 22, 2011, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Metro Tech High School, located at 1900 W Thomas Rd in Phoenix. Click to map it!

This is a joint plant sale, in conjunction with the Metro Tech High School Horticulture classes. Booths will also be set up by the other garden clubs and garden-related vendors.

Admission is free and presentations will provide valuable guidance for getting your garden back in shape after our scorching summer heat and the windy monsoons. Fall is an excellent time for planting and the plants for sale have been grown right here in the Valley by the Master Gardeners and other local groups and nurseries. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. Bring the children for a special children's area and pumpkin patch.

Come meet your local Master Gardeners and learn how to select, place and care for plants in the low desert.
