Principles and Techniques of Plant Propagation and Culture

This course covers comprehensive plant wholesale production systems from propagation through operations to salable horticultural crops, including trees, shrubs, succulents and herbaceous plants. In plant propagation, students will learn principal techniques and biological concepts as applied to sexual and asexual reproduction. Students will also study cultural practices and environmental controls important to plant production in field and container systems. At the end of this course, students will have acquired the basic skills necessary to manage large scale plant production.
