Applying the principles of mechanization and business to production agricultural is the goal of the Agricultural Operations option. Students prepare for work in the technical and management aspects of farming, ranching, or consulting by selecting courses in crop science, soil, science, or animal science.

This option is designed for students desiring employment in testing and/or management of mechanized systems used in agriculture, processing, natural resources, agribusiness, or related industries. Employment opportunities include laboratory and field testing of agricultural and commercial euipment and tractors as well as plant operations management.

Students in this option apply the principles of mechanization and management to food and feed processing operations as well as industrial applications of agricultural commodities. Careers include installation and maintenance of processing equipment, operations management and production supervision of processing facilities.

The Business option provides students with a strong background in the principles of managing engineered system with emphasis on mechanization, management, marketing, law, and finance. Employment opportunities include managers and marketing representatives with manufacturers of agricultural and industrial products, grain elevator managers, and agricultural reprentatives for financial institutions.
