Hao Lu, a 2009 graduate of the master's program, has certainly gone places since finishing at AREC. His first stop was Cornell University where he obtained his Ph.D. in 2014.

With over 75 years of history, AREC is recognized for its high quality faculty, policy-relevant research, and impressive undergraduate and graduate programs. Students can specialize in agribusiness management, agricultural economics, or environmental and water resource economics, and our graduate program attracts students from around the globe to work with our faculty focusing in agricultural economics, resource economics, and applied econometrics. We serve the land-grant mission of the University through our Cooperative Extension programs, providing research and outreach focused on crop and livestock budgets, marketing and management, environmental and natural resource policy, and regional economics and development.
