Campaign Cornerstones Overview: Fund Raising Plan for McClelland Park

 

Campaign Theme and Timeline

Campaign Cornerstones, with the motto "Be a Cornerstone," was conceived as unrolling in four phases: a quiet phase (2004), naming seed gift phase (2004-05), small gift/public phase (2006-07), and opening and celebrating phase (2007-08). This strategy was planned carefully. We have secured lead gifts first, saving the labor intensive small gift phase for the end of the campaign. Throughout, we have asked donors to talk to prospects, serving as ambassadors. The goal is to raise $24,000,000, with the campaign concluding in February 2008. We believe the goal is feasible because of the school's past fund raising track record; gifts committed to date; institutional commitment; the development structures that have been put into place in the last six years that use a variety of strategies, including face-to-face appeals; and the well-thought-out four-phase campaign plan described in detail below:
