I am a third-year doctoral student in the Family Studies and Human Development program. My research broadly focuses on the biological and social contexts of well-being among Latinx youth, specifically the effect of racial discrimination on mental health and physiological stress responses. I am particularly interested in the physiological processes underlying risk, namely investigating the role of the hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal (HPA) axis and diurnal cortisol rhythm on mental health outcomes.
