Science Alive Testimonials

What impressed me most about this conference were the energy, pride and self-esteem in the students at the schools who use hydroponics.  This energy then passes on to the teachers who are also full of energy and pride in seeing young adults succeed.  I think this conference will grow in the future and 1,000 people attending is not inconceivable.  I strongly urge teachers to attend and FEEL the energy.  Tom Alexander, publisher Growing Edge

This conference was well worth the time.  The wealth of information I gained is priceless and will be put to use Monday morning.  They truly bring “science alive”.   John Waller, Teacher, North Kitsap High School, WA

Science Alive provided valuable information for me to take home and use in our own greenhouse.  I met lots of interesting new people and plan to keep in touch with them.  I enjoyed every aspect of this conference and recommend it to everyone who is interested in hydroponics.  Allyson Coonts, High School student, Mackay High School, ID

I am psyched, I can’t wait to go back to my school and introduce my students to the wild world of science through Aquaponics and hydroponics.  Thanks for the great info!   Jennifer Tomlinson, Teacher , Sierra Middle School, NM

I came here a complete idiot without a clue about hydro/Aquaponics and now I feel that I can go home and start building any kind of system that I wanted to.  As a matter of fact, I have already drawn out a couple of systems that I plan to start building as soon as I get back to South Dakota.  Rick Niles, spouse of an Ag. Teacher, Woonsocket High School, SD

This conference gives you a hands-on experience dealing with hydroponics and aquaculture.  With the many workshops and educated guest speakers at the conference, you will be able to gain the knowledge that you are looking for.  This conference is designed for educator and students that are thinking about getting a greenhouse.  Brian Corbitt, Teacher, Homer High School, MI

Even if you’ve never heard of hydroponics before or are engaged in hydroponics, this is the place to get the info to get started or improve your existing program.  It offers something for everyone.  Jeff Riekman, Teacher, Howard 48-3 High School, SD

Yes, yes, yes!!!  I thought that this conference was one of the best and most interesting one that I have attended.  I was not only impressed with what was presented, but also with the presenters themselves.  Whenever I had questions or concerns with a topic, I was always answered to the best of the presenter’s knowledge.

I would recommend this Science Alive Conference to anyone who is not only dedicated, but shows even a slight interest in the hydroponic field.  Mayla Campbell, High School student, Homer, MI

The most worthwhile, best-planned, interactive program I have been associated with in 26 years of teaching.  I shall return with more students in 2003 to get them involved just as this year’s students have been motivated and are planning to incorporate “Aquaponics” into our program.  Learned many ways to make great improvements at a minimal cost!!!  Doug Fischer, Teacher, Pearl River High School,  LA
