are no indirect costs on membership fees, whereas University
overhead is usually 51.5%.
- Voting
rights on the Industrial Membership Board (IAB) allow industry
members to influence research areas.
- Direct
means to positively affect water quality at the local, national,
or international level.
- Industry
members have the ability to fund additional directed research
with 0% indirect costs or administrative costs.
- There
are little or no WQC administrative costs, thus, all money
is directed toward research.
- The
membership fee is a tax deductible business expense.
- WQC
members are private companies, industrial firms, and federal,
state, and local government andnongovernmental agencies.
- There
are three levels of membership:
- Voting
on IAB Board at all levels is based on fee membership with
$3k = 10 votes.
