The Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP) supports CE faculty efforts related to developing and/or delivering pesticide safety education to clientele throughout the state of Arizona. Funding for Pesticide Safety Education Activities
The Arizona Pest Management Center currently has a small Pesticide Safety Education Program
(PSEP) budget to help support pesticide safety education activities of UA faculty. Agents or Specialists that are delivering educational programs that provide Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) or initial training to support certification for Certified Pesticide Applicators, Pest Control Advisors, or other pest management professionals (urban, agricultural, structural, etc.) may submit expenses related to these educational activities for consideration of reimbursement. Typical expenses might include in-state travel for Agents or Specialists, resource development or meeting logistics, but any expenses related to delivery of educational programming can be considered.
Faculty requesting these funds must submit:
- Documentation of the training or educational resource (i.e., program agenda)
- A one paragraph narrative about the intended outcome / expected impact of the outreach, that is, what you expect to achieve
- An indication of the number and type of CEUs granted
- An indication of the number and
type
of clientele trained (e.g., pesticide applicators, PCAs, etc.) - Copies of all CEU sign-in sheets
- An itemized list of expenses for which you are seeking reimbursement
- Faculty are also encouraged to provide workshop evaluation data or other outcome measurements, if available
Please submit your requests to Al Fournier, fournier@cals.arizona.edu, no later than September 1, 2009. Our current budget may be used to cover expenses through September 30, 2009. For more information contact Al Fournier or Peter Ellsworth.
