The environmental, economic, and social well-being of our planet depends on plants and yet, so much of human activity threatens them. This course aims to build a foundation of scientific literacy in botany, both through presentation of the classic and cutting-edge approaches used in botanical research, and also through practical experiences observing and analyzing plant biological phenomena relevant to research and real world applications. Students completing this course will be empowered as more informed and effective plant scientists and environmental stewards in many realms of society.
